Description

Although this course focuses on how architects and landscape architects use materials and assemblies, you will creatively research and apply those techniques and ideas to your own work. Stressing the interdependence between conceptual thinking and details, you will develop an understanding of the role of research in the generation of work and a methodology of working that integrates thinking with testing.

You will explore and identify the appropriate use of materials and assemblies for projects and solve material and construction issues and ideas through critical observation. Expanding your exposure to regional and global precedents, you will hone your awareness of the impact design ideas have on the environment.
