Description

The second course in the architectural structure sequence expands simple single-span structures into multi-span and continuous systems. You will learn how to choose structural systems and how to lay them out for a building. In addition to highrise and long-span bridges, you will explore the implications of building configurations on earthquake performance. You will also deepen your understanding of the impact of architects’ decisions on the economy and sustainability of the structural system, as well as engineering terminology.
