These advanced faculty-initiated seminars provide opportunities for students to conduct in-depth investigations of select topics in architectural history or theory. The topics typically align with faculty’s current research.
Selected Readings on Architecture and Capitalism
This seminar explores the complex relationship between capitalism and architecture through readings and discussion. The course is centred upon close readings of demanding theoretical texts. Each class session will be devoted to discussion of these texts. Assignments will include two papers based upon the course readings.
Pre-requisite: at least 2 of ARCH 504, 505 and or 523
Eligible student groups: graduate students in SALA
