International applicants

The diversity that international students bring to SALA is part of what makes our school such an exciting place to study. If you are an international student, you mostly follow the same admissions procedures as all other applicants. However, there are some differences and additional information that you should be aware of.

English proficiency requirements

If your entire degree was not completed in English, you must submit an English language proficiency test. Please refer to individual programs for minimum requirements.

International transcripts

If your academic records are in a language other than English or French, you must submit your transcripts in the original language, accompanied by official translations of the document. For degrees completed at international universities, you must have the equivalent of a B+ (76% at UBC) average in all coursework. As a transfer applicant to our undergraduate environmental design program, you must have the equivalent of a 65% at UBC on your most recent 30 credits.
