GTA | ARCH 571C Performative Wood Seminar | Grasshopper Support
Overview of duties
Provide technical support to students in Grasshopper including doing tutorials and helping students trouble shoot their code for the Performative Wood Seminar to be held this Fall (W1) session. Students will have varying levels of expertise with Grasshopper from very rudimentary to very experienced.
Tutorials will be required in the first week or two with trouble shooting taking place throughout the term.
Qualifications
Must be highly skilled with Grasshopper including knowledge of tree structures and (ideally but not necessarily) basic robot operation from Grasshopper through customized components.
Ability to patiently troubleshoot and coach students through technical issues with Grasshopper and Rhino. Ability to explain subject matter clearly and logically. Ability to effectively lead tutorial sessions that facilitate student learning. Must be available for consultations outside of regular class time.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Supportive, compassionate and patient approach with student learning.
