This proposal for a new, universal public bath draws on historical, cultural, and technical systems of purification to propose a shift from meteorological discretism towards fluid and emergent atmospheres. A field of monolithic pillars feeds into a variable temperature pool, where the act of bathing becomes a rhythmic movement through dynamic hydrothermal conditions. The chemistry of flesh, stone, heat and water interact to produce intimate and playful thermal opportunities.
