Connective Tissue explores the densification of the Grand Boulevard Neighbourhood in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Faced with a car-oriented streets, large single family lots, and a lack of local amenities, Connective Tissue aims to transform an under-utilized cul-de-sac into a lively pedestrian connection between an existing neighbourhood park and hospital block. Connective Tissue strategically interplays increases in amenity with increases in missing middle, mixed-use density to find unique financial and spatial means of catalyzing both public space improvements and affordable housing supply.
