Between the two major land uses along the Fraser river - industrial and residential, the site serves as a catalyst for future developments as projected in 2056, where the meaning of industrial and single-family residential redefines itself and finds a new purpose learning from it’s history and addressing issues of it’s times. With primary policies of affordability+resiliency along with creating systems for food growth here is an attempt to challenge the status quo of the 'typical Vancouverism' by establishing an urban framework for developing a proposal that puts forth circular economy + inclusivity + micro urbanism at its forefront.
