How do you come to know a place? The course’s guiding question becomes a way of observing through creating, and learning to read a landscape through time. This project is an introduction to weaving as a way to learn a new art form so pertinent to Sardinian culture, and to draw similarities between textile patterning and landscape practices across the Mediterranean basin. What started as an attempt to learn to weave with Sardinian sheep’s wool became a story of time in Sardinia. A map of experiences, and all places landscape is found in.
