Join us to celebrate 2022 Margolese Prize winner Jane Wolff! The event will feature a presentation of Jane’s pioneering work in landscape literacy, where she encourages people to understand and participate in the future of landscapes that surround them. She will also introduce a project that will bring the methods and tools she employs in her work to a collaborative study of a Vancouver sea level rise challenge.
In discussion with a panel of experts from fields ranging from marine biology to civil engineering, Jane will begin her exploration of one of Vancouver’s most iconic places: Kitsilano Pool. A rich and revealing subject for a Landscape Observatory project, the panel will delve into the site’s complex past, present vulnerabilities as revealed in recent storms, and uncertain future.
The event will be live streamed and recorded.
