Federico has worked as a landscape architect in Lisbon and Berlin, and as a gardener for the Lisbon Botanical Garden in Portugal, and for the Arnold Arboretum in the USA. Hope has previously practiced as an architect in Massachusetts (USA) and, in addition to her current work, she maintains an active presence in academia, teaching and lecturing in Europe and the United States.
