Visit Vancouver City Hall to see the design ideas of SALA students who, led by Susan Herrington, explored co-locating child care facilities within or adjacent to existing, expanded and or/new parks and open spaces in Vancouver. Students “rewilded” child care outdoor play spaces by incorporating nature play and risky play opportunities for children. These design explorations not only contribute to children’s play, development, and health but also to a park’s play value and its ecological integrity.
