GTA | ARCH 523: Contemporary Theories
Overview of duties
Attend lectures; Lead an in-class/online discussion group on the lecture content and readings;
Provide tutorials outside of class (office hours); Grade assignments and quizzes; Administer course
website and online environment; Source and compile course materials; Administrative tasks as
required.
Qualifications
Current MArch student who has completed degree requirements as of Dec 2021. Completion of MArch history-theory sequence or undergraduate degree in architectural or art history preferred. Must have excellent communication skills and ability to creatively present information. Some teaching experience preferred. Ability to help students actively learn. Ability to explain subject matter clearly and logically. Ability to effectively lead discussion groups that facilitate student learning. Ability to effectively assists student learning by enabling different sets of skills, including oral and verbal communications, problem solving, critical thinking, teamwork, leadership, planning.
