GTA | DES 200: Design Thinking
Overview of duties
Attend lecture once per week and conduct three lab sessions per week with groups of up to 12 students (Lab sessions are design critiques). Mark one exam, design projects, and short assignments. Number of positions will be based on enrolment. Successful candidates must be able to cover assigned lab sessions.
Qualifications
Current enrollment in MArch, MLA, or MASA/MASLA with strong design skills. Strong leadership and organizational skills essential. Ability to explain subject matter clearly and logically. Ability to effectively lead discussion groups that facilitate student learning. Ability to effectively assist student learning by enabling different skill sets, including oral and verbal communications, problem solving, critical thinking, numeracy, teamwork, leadership, planning. Previous teaching experience working independently with undergraduates in highly interactive circumstance is preferred. This is an excellent position for students in their final thesis semester.
