GTA | DES 212: Design Media II
Overview of duties
Assist students with their work in progress (evaluating and critiquing informally) during twice- weekly sessions. Provide students with assistance with technical problems involving both manual and software tools, and encourage the development of a conceptual attitude to media in their work. Responsible for leading one or more software tutorials and may participate in project critiques during
Qualifications
Current MArch or MLA student. Must be well-versed in manual drafting techniques, including the construction of parallel projection and perspective drawings, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhinoceros and Grasshopper. Knowledge of basic rendering workflows is an asset. Ability to help students actively learn through design media (sketching, drawing, modelling). Ability to explain subject matter clearly and logically. Ability to effectively lead discussion groups that facilitate student learning. Ability to effectively assists student learning by enabling different sets of skills, including oral and verbal communications, problem solving, critical thinking, numeracy, teamwork, leadership, planning.
