GTA | DES 422: Urbanism by Design
Overview of duties
Attend lectures and assist with setup and delivery; Lead two discussion groups for undergraduate students on the lecture content and readings; Attend weekly planning meetings; Provide tutorials outside of class (office hours) for undergraduate students; Grade undergraduate assignments and quizzes; Coordinate discussions with undergraduate students on possible paper topics and research methods. There may be an opportunity to devise in-class activities appropriate to lectures and discussion and an option to prepare and present an in-class mini-lecture.
Qualifications
Current SALA Masters student, or graduate student in a related field with expertise in subject matter. Must be well-versed in urban design history. Ability to explain subject matter clearly and logically. Ability to effectively lead discussion groups that facilitate student learning. Ability to effectively assists student learning by enabling different sets of skills, including oral and verbal communications, problem solving, critical thinking, teamwork, leadership, planning.
