GTA | LARC 531: Landscape Technologies I – Grading and Drainage
Overview of duties
Provide assistance with organizing the course material; Give small group software tutorials, and
one-on-one instruction/tutorials by appointment after class. Within UBC’s safety protocols, may be required to assist with live broadcasts from job sites.
Qualifications
MLA student who has completed LARC 531. Strong interest and a good knowledge in detailing.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Vectorworks. Rhino skills count as a bonus. Ability to effectively lead discussion groups that facilitate student learning. Ability to effectively assist student
learning by enabling different sets of skills, including oral and verbal communications, problem
solving, critical thinking, numeracy, teamwork, leadership, planning. Ability to work across
different remote communication platforms including Zoom, Miro, and UBC Canvas. Transportation to job sites preferred.
