WL | Summer Program Assistant
Overview of duties
Under the direction of the Manager, Student Services and Recruitment, the Summer Program Assistant supports the operation of both the Vancouver Summer Program and SALA Design Discovery by managing registration, responding to inquiries, coordinating guest lectures and site visits, and securing vendors for transportation, catering, and venues. They plan and execute social and cultural activities within budget, assist with orientation materials and volunteer coordination, and represent SALA at meetings, events, and recruitment activities. Additionally, they handle administrative tasks, maintain supplies, track participant data for evaluation, and assist with other related duties as needed.
Qualifications
This position is open to upper-year undergraduate and graduate students. The ideal candidate is a creative and organized student with experience in event planning, strong oral and visual communication skills, and the ability to work with diverse groups. Able to manage their time effectively and work independently while bringing fresh ideas to projects. Flexible and adaptable, with availability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
