Working on projects at different scales, you will correlate basic cultural and historical phenomena, issues, and events with architectural ideas and materials. You will analyze and interpret physical and environmental contexts to develop basic notions of structure, program, and use.
You will refine these concepts into a variety of two- and three-dimensional representations, including sketches, plans, sections, drawings, diagrams, perspectives, renderings, and models, to present and rhetorically frame creative work. You will also gain the ability to abstract basic spatial, material, and conceptual ideas from architectural precedents.
