Landscape Architecture Professor Susan Herrington has been recognized with a 2020 UBC Killam Research Prize in the Arts & Humanities, Senior Category. One of UBC’s annual Faculty Research Awards, the Killam Research Prize is awarded to full-time tenure-stream faculty members in recognition of outstanding research and scholarly contributions. Herrington’s research focuses on design theories of contemporary landscape architecture, and she teaches in both our graduate and undergraduate programs. She has authored several books, including Landscape Theory in Design, Cornelia Hahn Oberlander: Making the Modern Landscape, and On Landscapes.
