An architectural designer and founding member of Archipleasure, YT’s speculative research explicates on the marginal and overlooked occurrences in contemporary urbanism— how seemingly inconsequential things form the basis of major movements and systems— and from which subversive and more playful interventions are generated. His work consistently seeks renewed interpretations of architecture that cast more inclusive ambitions and exuberant prospects for the built environment.
As Interdisciplinary Design Fellow, YT’s teaching and research will centre around the theme of REPAIR.
Most recently, YT was the 2021-22 Peter Rayner Banham Fellow at the University of Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning. From 2018 to 2021, he was a Michigan-Mellon Fellow at the Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning at the University of Michigan. He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Arts, Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis.
