GAA | Digital modelling and animation: Wildfire House Prototype

November 1 to December 31 1 open positions 80 hours total, approximately 10 hours per week at $approximately $31.18/hour

Overview of duties

This project involves assisting John Bass in the production of an animated diagram of the Wildfire House Prototype (WHP). The WHP is being developed in collaboration with community members of the Tsilhqot’in National Government (TNG) community of Yunesit’in. Begun in spring 2020, the WHP is currently in a fundraising and community engagement phase. The product will be a 30-45 second annotated animation, which will be woven into a video describing the process and value of the WHP project. The animation will describe the culturally and environmentally tailored elements of the design to the Yunesit’in community, TNG administration, funding sources, and other constituencies.

The work will be built upon a Rhino model that is substantially complete, although some refinement of the Rhino model is likely needed to suit the objectives of the promotional video.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants will have well-developed Rhino and animation skills, and will likely have completed two years of the MArch program or the equivalent. Applicants should send a CV and a link to videos demonstrating their animation skills.
