GTA | ARCH 515 002: Design Media I (Landscape Section)

Winter 2024 term 1 Up to 2 open positions 52 hours total, approximately 4 hours per week at $37.53/hour

Overview of duties

Meet regularly to assist with responsive curriculum delivery. Provide pre-recorded software tutorials as needed. Host extra-help sessions once a week. Assist in delivering in-class drawing session & exercises. Assist in graphic assessments. Class meeting attendance is desired.

Qualifications

Current MLA students with prerequisites ARCH 515-002 and/or LARC 582J. Applicants should:
Have demonstrated ability with 2D and 3D drawing and modelling for specific landscape applications including site use, topography & planting
Feel comfortable drawing, modelling and troubleshooting in Rhino 3D and be able to efficiently work between software to produce drawings and images to scale
Have experience in the preparation of atmospheric landscape drawings including an understanding of visual analysis, composition and perspective
Be able to explain basic drafting, modelling & drawing techniques clearly and logically based on their own skills and approach
Be able to assess and critique student work in a constructive, kind manner.
Core skills: Rhino 3D, Adobe CS, hand-drawing & sketching, experience with analog media
