GTA | DES 220: Architecture and Urbanism in Context -Vancouver
Overview of duties
Lead two 2-hour tutorials, grade exams and assignments, participate in tours. Additional meetings with professor and extra tutoring may be required. Class attendance is required. Number of available positions will be based on enrolment. Successful candidates must be able to cover assigned tutorials.
Qualifications
Current PhD or master level student in architecture, planning, landscape architecture, or urban design. Applicants who have successfully completed previous classes in architecture, urban design, and/or city planning are strongly preferred. Previous teaching experience working independently and with undergraduates in highly interactive circumstances is helpful. Ability to explain subject matter clearly and logically. Ability to effectively lead discussion groups that facilitate student learning. Ability to effectively assists student learning by enabling different sets of skills, including oral and verbal communications, problem solving, critical thinking, numeracy, teamwork, leadership, planning.
