GTA | LARC 525: Research Methods

Winter 2024 term 1 1 open positions 78 hours total, approximately 6 hours per week at $37.53/hour

Overview of duties

Assist in collation of course readings, track attendance, assist in delivery of course, facilitate small group discussion, offer advice to students on assignments. Class meeting attendance is
required.

Qualifications

Must be enrolled in a Masters level program at SALA. Significant familiarity with contemporary landscape architectural theory required. Ability to help students actively learn by offering individualized suggestions on landscape architects, theorists, projects and readings to aide their projects. Ability to explain subject matter clearly and confidently. Excellent written and oral communication to be able to communicate effectively in a tactful manner. Ability to effectively lead discussion groups that facilitate student learning. Ability to effectively assist student learning by enabling different sets of skills, including oral and verbal communications, problem solving, critical thinking, numeracy, teamwork, leadership, planning. Familiarity with Zoom and Canvas required.
