GTA | LARC 540: Site Analysis and Planning

Winter 2024 term 1 1 open positions 52 hours total, approximately 4 hours per week at $37.53/hour

Overview of duties

Provide assistance with organizing the course material; Give small group software tutorials, and
one-on-one instruction/tutorials by appointment after class.

Qualifications

Current Master of Urban Design (MUD) student Preference will be given to Master of Urban Design students. Current PhD or Master level student in architecture, landscape architecture, or urban design with a strong interest in gaining experience teaching design to undergraduate students in gateway course to the DES program. Applicants who have successfully completed courses in sustainable design are preferred. Mastery of the course academic material. Ability to help students actively learn. Ability to explain subject matter clearly and logically. Ability to effectively lead discussion groups that facilitate student learning. Ability to effectively assists student learning by enabling different sets of skills, including oral and verbal communications, problem solving, critical thinking, numeracy, teamwork, leadership, planning. Previous teaching experience working independently with undergraduates is helpful, but not required.
