GAA | LARC 524: Spatial and Material Practices in Landscape Architecture Histories
Overview of duties
Select and compile in digital format all required and suggested reading for a new landscape history course. Short video clips should also be considered. Readings will support the following lecture titles:
Emerging rights and public domesticities
Queering the modern landscape
Diaspora, identity, and landscape
Countering tradition
Narratives of opposition
Upending the pastoral
Subverting the neoliberal city
Embodied space
Ecological by design
Landscape as Palimpsest
Qualifications
Current MLA, MArch or MARCLA student with an interest in landscape architecture history. Ability to identify new and highly relevant texts and potential short videos. Ability to scan/download texts and organized into files for each lecture that will be uploaded to Canvas. Excellent reading, writing and verbal communication skills.
