The first design studio explores neighbourhood-scale systems of block, network, parcel, and building typologies. You will have the opportunity to work with municipal stakeholders on portions of multi-year urban design partnership projects.

Investigating historical, social, and ecological urban patterns, you will develop an understanding of the interaction of cultural and economic factors on the evolution of neighbourhood form and function. You will apply urban design and neighbourhood design theory to real-world problems to produce a comprehensive three-dimensional design solution.

Open to MUD students.
