The second course in the urban design studio sequence explores urban and ecological systems at the regional and municipal scale. You will have the opportunity to work with our municipal partners on real-world urban design projects.
In this studio, you will develop an understanding of the evolution of urban landscapes by investigating historical, social, and ecological contexts. You will learn how urban and ecological systems work together to make up sustainable communities and be able to critically analyze them. Applying urban design theory and practice, you will create a comprehensive three-dimensional design solution for municipal- and regional-scale project areas.
