Chris teaches design studios and history and theory courses in the architecture and environmental design programs. He was co-curator of the project SweaterLodge, installed as Canada’s contribution to the Venice Biennale in Architecture in 2006. He has served on numerous design juries and consultant reviews and has participated in various CACB and NAAB program accreditation reviews and policy development.
His current research activities include the preparation for publication of longstanding research concerning the practice of Tucson architect, Judith Chaffee (Unreconstructed Modern: Three Houses by Judith Chaffee, forthcoming), assisting in a definitive historical survey of early modern houses in the Vancouver region, and preparing a study of contemporary urban housing practices across Canada.
