GTA | DES 200: Design Thinking
Overview of duties
Attend one-hour GTA meeting and one 1.5 lecture (back-to-back) each week. Take attendance in the lecture. Independently conduct two 2-hour labs each week, assisting students with design critiques of their projects. Mark four projects. Number of GTA positions will be based on enrolment. Successful candidates must be able to cover two assigned lab sessions. Please do not apply if you are unavailable Tuesday mornings and Wednesdays.
Qualifications
Current enrollment in MArch, MLA, or MASA/MASLA with strong design skills. Strong leadership and organizational skills essential. Ability to explain subject matter clearly and logically. Ability to effectively lead discussion groups that facilitate student learning. Ability to effectively assist student learning by enabling different skill sets, including oral and verbal communications, problem solving, critical thinking, leadership, planning. Previous teaching experience working independently with undergraduates in highly interactive circumstance is preferred. This is an excellent position for students in their final year.
